An ad in the local Leader newspaper put forth a call from ‘Melbourne Art for Life’, for contributions for a Charity Art Auction to support the victims of the Victorian Bushfires in February. I had been wondering who to contact in regard to such an idea and was eager to donate a painting. I rang the number and made a new friend. Tony Longo, himself an artist, had experience in orchestrating such an event with the Charity Auction at the Melbourne Town Hall for the Tsunami victims previously. I pledged.
Unfortunately, due to family committments I couldn’t attend the opening but a couple of artist friends whom also pledged, attended and said it was a great evening! Well done Tony and thank you for your vision.
